Melbourne Spring Fashion Week

Dealing with the cold, grey Melbourne winters can be quite tiresome. Sometimes the only thing that gets us through is the promise that Spring will eventually arrive. The Melbourne Spring Fashion Week campaign launch is always an exciting time in Melbourne’s busy event’s calendar – reassuring us all that sunshine is just around the corner.

Fashion week is the perfect excuse to shake off the winter blues and explore all things beautiful when it comes to Melbourne and Fashion. And that is exactly what the Visual Playground team did for the MSFW 2016 TVC. See it here now and get excited! Tickets to the MSFW can be purchased here: http://msfw.melbourne.vic.gov.au/

JAFRI – a VR documentary

Visual Playground in collaboration with the OTTO Empire are excited to announce their very first collaboration as PLaTO Reality. Directed by Michael Beets, ‘JAFRI’ is an intimate portrait of Jafri Katagar, Melbourne’s one-man anti-racism street campaigner who, since coming to Australia as a refugee and becoming an Australian citizen, has been vigilant in his fight against discrimination and intolerance. The VR short documentary will premiere at the 65th Melbourne International Film Festival. Click here to book your tickets.

To hear more about the VR production process, join Michael Beets and Patrick Taylor, VP Creative Director, and other industry experts, at the upcoming Real World VR Event. The session will be held at The Loop Project Space and Bar tomorrow 19th July, and will centre around Australian produced 360-degree documentaries and real-time VR experiences.
